Naproxen use during breast feeding?

In general because naproxen(FLANAX) has a longer half life or duration of action it should be generally avoided during breast feeding. There is limited human data to adequately assess the safety of naproxen use during breast feeding. The half life of naproxen or time for half of the drug to leave the human body is approximately 8 hours. One approach can be for a breast feeding mother to pump her breasts and store her milk upon awakening in the morning then ingest a dose of naproxen and provide the stored breast milk by bottle to the child for the next 8 hours.
Having waited 8 hours after ingesting a dose of naproxen before breast feeding will minimize the risk of the infant’s exposure to naproxen.

U.S. Latino Access to Healthcare Limited

Low-income communities are frequently under-served by pharmacies and other
healthcare resources. A recent study found that urban, predominately minority, and low-income
communities have persistently fewer pharmacies and that, where there is a pharmacy, it is more
likely to be an independent pharmacy than a large chain pharmacy* .

Another study reports that in Chicago, Illinois, from 2000 through
2012, there were fewer pharmacies in segregated Hispanic communities than in segregated white
communities and in racially or ethnically integrated communities (availability of pharmacies was
measured in terms of the number of pharmacies per census tract and the distance between
pharmacies and residents homes)**.The authors conclude that the same is likely true for other
major urban areas, such Los Angeles.

Jamie Belcastro, Pharmacist and President of Belmora LLC is committed to improving healthcare access to U.S.Latinos. As a result of a lack of competition, U.S. Latinos, face barriers to gaining access to healthcare in the U.S. versus other Americans. The issue must be addressed and requires national planning at the Federal level, otherwise we will see dramatic increases in morbidity and mortality rates within the Latino community that will ultimately negatively impact the U.S. economy.

Belmora has focused its efforts from the beginning on distributing its Flanax products in independent retailers servicing the Latino community in the U.S. and continues its outreach efforts by making Healthcare information accessible and easy to understand for the Latino community.

3 EZ Steps to Relieve Spondylolisthesis Pain!

Spondylolisthesis: This is a slipping of vertebra that occurs, in most cases, at the base of the spine. It is a defect or fracture of one or both wing-shaped parts of a vertebra, can result in vertebrae slipping backward, forward, or over a bone below.

If a person has Spondylolisthesis they generally complain of: lower back pain (lumbar region), muscle tightness/stiffness, pain in the buttocks, pain radiating down the legs, and/or muscle weakness.

3 EZ Steps for Spondylolisthesis Pain Relief:

  1. Anti-inflammatories 2. Physical Therapy 3. Topical Analgesic

The ideal anti-inflammatory is Flanax-naproxen sodium tablets that reduce inflammation in the affected area and last longer than other analgesics.

Physical therapy will strengthen the muscle around the affected area reducing some of the pain in the process.

Applying a topical analgesic to the affected area reduces breakthrough pain, that may occur when additional stress is applied to the lower back. Flanax Liniment is a topical analgesic with three active ingredients to block pain quickly.  Menthol which numbs the affected area, methyl salicylate which reduces inflammation, and capsaicin which blocks pain locally.
